Porcelain veneers can be the perfect solution for teeth that are stained, discolored, badly shaped, chipped, or crooked. This cosmetic dentistry treatment can also be an effective solution for gaps between the teeth.

Drs. Monroe and Monroe place porcelain veneers in their Pinehurst dentist office for both cosmetic and restorative purposes. Porcelain veneers thin, custom-made and translucent shells crafted of tooth-colored materials designed to cover the front side of your teeth to restore health, function and beauty. Porcelain veneers are stain resistant and highly durable, providing years of beautiful smiles with good oral hygiene and regular dental care.

About the Process

The porcelain veneer procedure usually takes 2 or 3 visits to the dentist. Dr. Clement Monroe or Dr. Kamron Monroe will prepare the teeth for the veneers by removing a small amount of the natural tooth structure. This creates room for the veneers to fit comfortably and securely in your mouth. For this reason, porcelain veneers are considered a permanent restoration. In cases where tooth damage or the desired cosmetic change is minor, tooth bonding may be recommended as an economical and temporary option.

At the final appointment, Drs. Monroe will try the veneers on your teeth and then cement them to the teeth for a permanent restoration.
