We understand that you or your child may feel anxious about visiting the dentist; we put forth an extra effort to make sure that you are comfortable and happy every time you visit our practice. Your first visit is all about you – your comfort, your happiness, and your dental health.

Your first visit with Dr. Clement Monroe or Dr. Kamron Monroe includes:

• A review of your complete dental and medical history forms
• Any necessary digital radiographs
• A comprehensive oral examination including periodontal and oral cancer screenings

Once Dr. Clement Monroe or Dr. Kamron Monroe has reviewed your medical health history forms, he or she will discuss with you your dental history and your experiences and expectations for treatment. Dr. Clement Monroe or Dr. Kamron Monroe will then perform a thorough oral examination and prescribe only necessary dental radiographs which will be completed at that time. Throughout the appointment, Dr. Monroe will encourage you to ask questions and share any concerns you may have. Our goal is to establish a trusting relationship with open communication so that we can become partners in helping you keep your teeth for life. We will then schedule a subsequent appointment for your treatment plan presentation and consultation.

Dr. Clement Monroe or Dr. Kamron Monroe will review clinical and radiograph information and consider your concerns and goals. Once your periodontal status has been determined, an appropriate hygiene appointment will be offered. Dr. Monroe will prepare a detailed treatment plan that will outline immediate needs, future expectations, and any additional considerations you expressed at your initial appointment. Dr. Clement Monroe or Dr. Kamron Monroe will share this personalized treatment plan with you at the consultation appointment and will explain the benefits of each procedure. We encourage your active participation in making decisions about your dental health; our goal is to help you feel and look your best through excellent dental care.

Bring your smile; but also remember to bring these things with you to your first dental appointment:

• Your completed Adult or Child Patient Information Forms
• Your insurance card and/or payment information
• Your photo identification

No matter what your age, visiting the dentist on a regular basis will help keep your teeth and gums healthy and your smile bright!

The American Dental Association recommends that adults and children visit the dentist every six months for regular checkups and routine teeth cleanings; we would love to see you here every six months to make sure that your smile is staying healthy!

We understand that you have a busy schedule; so while we like to make sure your appointments are informative, we also like to make sure they don’t stop you from doing the things you love! When preparing to visit the dentist, please know that most appointments take about an hour.
